Got the masts and the Marconi Wireless aerials up.
Hi;
Considering the Kit and your Experience with this media.The Mistakes can be overlooked. Question? Did you enjoy the challenge of building a model where you actually didn't have to paint every little piece and the glue smell didn't make you high?
Well given the kits inaccuracies and strange foilbes(no bottom)I didn't like it and almost destroyed it but my Daughter insisted I build it for her so I pressed on.
Crowd nest and ratlines.
Preparing the display base,routed a raised edge to accept the plexiglass.
I was able to cut out a display case out of a Lego plexi unit.Not an easy or quick task!
Philo,
Nice work taking one for the little lady. I hope someday mine asks me to build her a model.

Thanks it us memorable for sure!
Used clear Gorilla Glue to cement the back plexi.
Aha!
See! I told ya'll there was value in having LEGO around or available! I bought four of their Minifigure display cases and now have some very nice protection for 1/144 sailing ships and modern Card vessels too.
Yes saves you a lot of money.
Display base stained and cleared with Polyarcylic.While not perfect,the case should protect it from dust.
I decided to paint 2 plexi end panels black.Gives the case a more finished look.
Well;
Gee Whiz. You wanna make a case here? I think you've done well. Great patience and perserverence.
Yep if I ordered one it would cost too much so you do what you have do!
Nice going Philo! Got to hand it to you for hanging in there and doing a very nice job. I don't think I would even try one. It would end up starting the barbeque.
