I'm thinking of building a spray booth in my garage. The problem is the exhaust. There's really no good place to run a exhaust. Can I just set the exhaust pipe a few feet from the garage door. I live in the south so i can keep the door open while I paint. Its a three car garage and there are two over head fans that can run both directions for circulation. Do you think that the fumes will be to strong.

That's really neat how you did that.  I ended up doing the same thing (well,  I will this weekend - went and bought all the supplies yesterday).  The only difference is I'm going through a sliding glass door instead.  I need to go get some weatherstripping though, and maybe some caulk to seal the vent against the board.  Total cost was $25 or so, and I think it'll be really worth it  :)

It is a thin sheet of plywood with weather stripping on the edges and I set it in the window sill and shut the sliding part of the window up against it. It has a flap on the back side that you can't see in the picture that keeps anything from coming up into it like you have on a clothes dryer exhaust on a house.

That's pretty neat. I'm e

Don't forget to post some pics of it when you got it up and running.
