“As children, my brother and I enjoyed the Japanese-adapted cartoon Robotech (Macross in Japan),” Paul writes, recalling that he was able to find 1/100 scale models of “Zentraedi battle pods” at the time – but that his brother never had one. Those toys disappeared years ago, but when Paul found a 1/72 scale Zentraedi Regult Battle Pod by Samurai Monkey, he decided to build one for his brother. “I expect he will be quite surprised when I present it to him,” Paul says.
