“A Revell 1/570 scale Titanic someone had already started assembling and painting (and losing parts of) and the hulk of a Revell 1/426 scale Arizona I had built many years ago lead me to sate my fascination with pre-dreadnought battleships and cruisers and build a ‘protected liner’ – the Arizotanic,” Gary says. He used what was left of the Arizona kit for his “what the heck” model. “The disparity of scale adds some beef to the fighting components,” he says. “I wish the catapults and biplanes had survived. They would look great mounted on the rear dual turrets,” he adds. “I am not sure what role a protected liner would fill. What about iceberg hunting?”
