Ian says, “I
built this Italeri 1/72 scale F-5B as a CF-5B flown out of Cold Lake. It was a
test piece for my first attempt with Alclad II natural-metal paint. The base
under the Alclad was Tamiya gloss black, with sea gray and light gray clear
coated with DuPont clear and finally sanded with 2,500-grit wet/dry sandpaper
to create panel variations.” Ian used a combination of Leading Edge,
kit-supplied, and homemade decals. The high-vis color is Createx fluorescent
hot red.
