It took 15
years, but Jon scratchbuilt a 1/72 scale Saturn V rocket to go with his
Monogram Space Shuttle. “People think of the Space Shuttle as a huge vehicle,
but they may have lost sight of just how large the Saturn V is in comparison,”
he says. Paints include Krylon Fusion, Testors Model Master, Floquil, and
Pactra. He made masters and molds to cast engines in resin; each comprises 14
parts.
