Life wasn’t
easy for “A Tyrannosaurus Named Sue.” Cem worked over Safari Ltd.’s T. rex, reworking the mouth and adding a tongue. He says,
“I bought the kit for my son, but he didn’t show any interest. So, I was happy
to build it.” He painted it with the six acrylic colors provided in the kit,
and guesses it’s about 1/40 scale. If you’d like to see the namesake of the
model kit, she’s on display at the Field Museum in Chicago, Ill., billed as “the
largest, most complete, best preserved T. rex.”
