Deane says, “I’m
75 years old and have been building models since the days when they came as
wooden blocks with templates for sanding and a paper canopy you attached with powdered
glue you mixed with water.” Deane built Pegasus’ 1/350 scale Space Ark and
finished it with non-buffing Testors Model Master aluminum, “after many
different ones were tried until I got the finish that looked (to me) like the
movie.”
