represents the French ships of this class used in the Mediterranean during the
reign of Louis XIV,” says Mac. He made the sails from cloth using the kit’s
plastic sails as patterns. The sails are tied (“not glued,” he says) to the yardarms.
Same goes for the cannons. He painted the ship with an assortment of enamels
and acrylics.
