“This is my 1/48 scale MiG-5
DIS, made totally from scratch,” Francisco says. “I didn’t use any resin or photoetched
metal. I made it using styrene and turned-metal pieces.” He vacuum-formed the canopy
and landing-gear doors from a master he made in plastic and painted with
Testors Model Master enamels.
