“This is a combination of HobbyBoss' Krupp K5(E) ‘Leopold’
railway gun and BR-52 ‘Kriegslokomotive’ in 1/72 scale,” Andrew writes. “The
K5(E) was a Christmas gift from my parents two years ago, and I bought the
locomotive with my own money.” Andrew used Tamiya, Humbrol, and Testors Model
Master paints and weathered with artist's oils and pigments. “The whole project
took 14 months, but it was worth every minute.” Andrew says this is his last
big project for a while. After graduating from high school he reported to West
Point in June 2011 for basic training before joining the Class of 2015.
