“I build WWI aircraft, WWII armor, and WWIII hot rods,” Jim says. “The Katilak has been a work in progress for more than 20 years. Based on a vintage JoHan ambulance kit, it has modified parts from a couple 1/32 scale jet aircraft, a Parts Pack Allison V12, TOW missile pods from a Kitech 1/24 500MD helicopter, a scratchbuilt frame, about a pound of super glue, and so much Squadron Green putty that I just had to paint it that color.”
