“This is Modelkasten’s 1/20 scale Gucker from the Maschinen Krieger universe,” Alfonso writes. He changed out the pilot’s head and made an oxygen mask from wire. “The base is a scrap of wood with textured paint. I carved the wall out of foam. The ivy is sewing thread soaked in white glue and sprinkled with oregano leaves; the grass is a mix of static grass and clippings gathered from my lawn mower.” He painted with Tamiya acrylics, weathered with pastels, and used artist’s oils to make filters and tie all the colors together.
