“My favorite World War II fighter has always been the Wildcat,” Patrick says. Apparently, he found a Revell 1/32 scale kit at a model show for $5. “The only part missing was the pilot,” he says. “I used Testors Model Masters paint with brushes and a Badger airbrush. The only thing I added was some photoetched metal scraps for seatbelts. I made the wings permanently folded because the mechanisms are so fragile.”
