Steven built the vintage Revell 1/28 scale Sopwith Camel, salvaging the roundel decals by taping them to a sunny window for a month to bleach away the yellowing. “All wing rib detail was sanded off, then reapplied with Scotch tape, followed by a thick coat of primer to seal it,” he says. He scratchbuilt a cockpit and sprayed squadron markings through frisket masks using Testors Model Master enamels.
