Major David Hodge, Falcon Squadron, Indiana Civil Air Patrol, writes: “This 1/48 scale Minicraft Cessna 172 Civil Air Patrol aircraft is modified to represent the plane I fly with my squadron. I have added extra communications antennas, boxes, and markings for our aircraft, CAP 1240. Red cheat lines were created on computer and printed on decal paper; the plane is painted with acrylics and lightly weathered. It was built as a tribute to our squadron, IN-126, of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. The volunteer CAP operates the largest fleet of single-engine prop aircraft in the world with more than 500 aircraft, performing search-and-rescue missions for the Air Force as well as aiding the Department of Homeland Security.”
