Well, here’s something we have had on Pfeil: The Dornier Do 335, with a top speed of 474 mph, was World War II Germany’s fastest piston-powered propeller-driven plane — though it was late to the war and didn’t see much action. Heinz built Monogram’s 1/48 scale kit and put it in a convincing in-flight pose. “If you look a bit longer at the photo you can see the thin nylon,” he says.
