Steve writes: “At my secret airbase (established in 1943), an XB-49, redesignated UC-50, carries a hypersonic test article for aerial launching. A modified AMT/Ertl 1/72 scale Flying Wing was tinkered with to carry a mostly scratchbuilt test vehicle. I made strap-on boosters with parts from an old Energia kit. The background is a dawn photo of the 747-space shuttle stack.”
