Driving the extra miles in pursuit of excellence, William customized AMT’s 1/25 scale Diamond Reo tractor for a stylish ride. He says, “I have an appreciation of original, authentic trucks, but I also have a preference for unique styles. I had purchased upgrades to enhance the appearance, keeping in mind my goal of preserving the true nature of the tractor while making this kit a bit more interesting.” William’s upscale tractor features wider tires for all axles, custom exhaust, and several other accessories. He painted the cab and frame using Tamiya light gunmetal and red brown spray-can colors and tinted the windows with Testors Model Master transparent black. “How awesome it would be for an owner to customize an old tractor, transforming it into something eye-catching. I guess, ultimately, that was my vision,” he says.
