Having built Eduard’s 1/48 scale Hellcat and painted the camouflage with Tamiya acrylics, Steve says, “I have used Tamiya XF-16 (flat aluminum) for a base coat. I find if you airbrush the camouflage colors over the aluminum, it reflects the light better when photographing the model.”
