After setting Glencoe Models’ 1/225 scale USS Oregon in a sea of acrylic paste, James says, “I just love these pre-dreadnought ships. This is a great old model, but it had design problems I wanted to correct. So, using tips I read in FineScale Modeler, I cut the hull to make a waterline model, used wooden deck material instead of the plastic, rebuilt the superstructure, and weathered the exterior.”
