To work on his weathering techniques, Chris had some fun “abandoning” a vintage Monogram 1/32 scale M3 Lee in the North African desert. He used AK Interactive’s rust paint set along with touches of LifeColor rust paint. Then came a coat of hairspray followed by Vallejo olive drab, which in turn was rubbed away to depict decades of weathering. Pigments and artist’s oils finished the derelict tank.
