Michael’s 1/24 scale Volkswagen Type 1 Single Cab Pickup is part of Hasegawa’s Historic Series of VWs. To give it a rusty patina, he coated the vehicle with red oxide primer, followed by Tamiya white primer, and finally blue. Then Michael used 000 steel wool to wear the topcoats and expose the colors beneath the paint and giving it a worn and faded appearance.
