Fernando built his Skunkmodels Workshop 1/48 scale R-11 US/NATO fuel truck out of the box. He put a lot of thought into the detail and paint, using products from MCW Finishes, Xtracolor, and Testors, making washes for oil and grime, and adding a True Details resin tarmac base. Fernando created his model to represent one of the many trucks assigned to fuel and defuel military aircraft during the Gulf War and the Iraq War in the 1990s and 2000s.
