John 3D-printed this Phased Plasma Gun used by station security in the futuristic sci-fi series Babylon 5. This model came as a computer file with several printable parts from www.thingiverse.com, which he printed, finished, assembled, and painted. To add realism, the small black "knobs" are 2mm, 4-40, and 3mm metal socket cap screws; John drilled appropriate holes in the piece and screwed and glued them in place. He made the "energy capsule" at the rear removable, and it’s held in place with a magnet.
