Given the revived interest in ‘70s Funny Cars and Dragsters, William thought he would give the genre a try. He started with the Atlantis Green Elephant 1/16 scale Vega, then added a 3D-printed resin Hemi engine and period-correct wheels from LPH. William used Chuck's ‘60s-‘80s Drag Racing Decals to duplicate a car that he saw race 50 years ago at the Connecticut Dragway. He finished off the model by painting the body with Tamiya lacquer paint.
