Chad says that this AMT 1/25 scale 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup was an exercise in mild customization and use of 3D-printed parts. For the body, he made the hood side-hinged and removed the cab corner panel seams for a clean look. Inside the cab, Chad painted everything, including the 3D-printed seats, orange and added orange flocking and a headliner panel. Under the hood, he installed a 3D-printed Chevy 235 inline-six engine with dual carburetors and a scratchbuilt dual-outlet exhaust manifold. The exhaust system is completely scratchbuilt using styrene rod and metal-tube exhaust tips. The pickup rides on 3D-printed 16-inch artillery wheels and wide whitewall tires. The bed has mild wheel tubs to make room for the wider wheels and tires. The suspension is also modified with a 3D-printed drop axle in the front and a 3D-printed quick-change rear axle and lowering blocks. The creative paint selection is Limestone and Pastel Green from Splash Paints with Tamiya Pure Orange accents. All the chrome except the door handles and fender mirror is SMS Hyperchrome paint.
