Dale created this scene with the Dragon 1/72 scale SH-3D Sea King helicopter and an Apollo 11 command module (CM) in the same scale. He ran the gamut with paints from Vallejo acrylics to Ammo washes. PJ Productions and Super-Hobby figures populate the scene. Dale achieved the gold look for the CM with gold foil and airbrushed acrylic paint. He hand-sculpted the Polyfilla “water,” lined it with ordinary bathroom tissue and PVA, painted it with artist acrylics, and sealed it with several coats of Liquitex.
