Paul modeled a Trumpeter 1/700 scale HMS Hood as it appeared at the Battle of the Denmark Strait in May 1941. He painted the ship’s upper hull and structures in Royal Navy Admiralty Dark Grey (507C) from Home Fleet colors and the underside anti-fouling gray as noted in the HMS Hood Association guide. The main deck and boat deck are covered in wood laminate, and the photo-etched parts came from Tom's Modelworks set. Paul mounted the finished model on a wooden display with dockyard blocks and hand-painted the ship's crest.
