Manuel built his diorama using a Dragon Models 1/35 scale UH-1D Huey and figures from Bravo6, MasterBox, Verlinden, and Dragon. It represents the first wave of U.S. soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry landing at LZ X-Ray in the Ia Drang Valley near the Chu Pong Massif before, as Manuel says “all hell broke loose.”
