A fellow modeler just told me Squadron went under. Has anyone heard anything about it?

It's been slowly going under for the last few years. I worked there from 2005-2007 as book editor and witnessed the beginning of the end.

The Squadron site says “closed for renovations”Hmm Even though I haven’t bought from them in a while I do hope they return.

Squadron used to be good. The last couple years, they never seem to have anything I want in stock. I don't even bother to waste my time with Squadron anymore.

Yes, rumor and speculation, here, on HyperScale, on other forums, on Facebook.  No definitive confirmation, such as an annoucement from Squadron itself.
 
I'll repeat my observation:  Squadron is managing this situation about as well as they managed their business for the last 20 years.
