Once I win the Lottery

If I win the Lottery I think I just found what I might want to spend part of my winnings on:

Wouldn't need to do a DIY....could afford a turnkey rig....and an Abrams to boot, of course would have to de-mil some of it.

Years and years ago there was a video around of some British chap...I think he was a baker, by trade...who hand-built a 1/1 scale Bf109 cockpit in his garden shed, just as a lark. Took him about 10 years, everything hand-made and hand-painted, and it looked amazing! (Your "dakka dakka dakka" reminded me -- at one point in the vid it showed him in full kit, doing the same thing with gloved hand tweaking the trigger button on the contol column...which was fully-moveable, of course.)

What makes me think it might have been a BBC-filmed piece was his final quote. With eyes twinkling merrily, he fessed up that...if it had been a Spitfire cockpit...SWMBO might have let him put it in the back bedroom; but since it was one of those wicked 'Bosche' planes, it had to go out back in the shed, so as not to embarrass her in front of her family!

Since I hate to fly, I know, weird for a A.F. guy, I would have to enlarge my driveway a little bit for my old rides:

I might think about hiring a good mechanic too.

Hi,

We may be distantly related.

I'm actually a Naval Architect with, maybe not a total fear of water, but at least a healthy respect for it.  My view is that if I leave it alone it will hopefully leave me alone, and as such I try and avoid it as much as possible.

Luckily I don't seem to have too much trouble with being in a boat or ship on the water, its just being in the water that really freaks me out. Surprise

Couple of guys in the UK took a couple of tracked personnel carriers and grafted them together and made a limo out of them.

So that'll workBig Smile
