Hi Brad,
I spotted the kit on the Planet Figure Forum. It is from a Spnaish company called Dolman. It is a completely computer generated figure - I was surprised by the quality, detail level and likeness to the original character! It is 90mm so the P-40 would be a bit large ;)
1941 was panned by the critics but I still think it was a great movie!

I am so happy to have it back in my hands. It's pretty hard to beat Badgers customer service. I sent in "old faithful" , my old Badger 200 for service and they returned it in tip top shape. I felt the same way you did in being glad it was back "home" . lol

I love my Badger 200. I have two with differnet needle sizes. I'll have to look into that Patriot. Looks like a nice brush.

It is a nice brush, and very affordable. Mine came with the fine needle, and that seems to be a good needle size for everything I have asked it to do. It is also very easy to keep clean. Feels like quality throughout. I have read on this forum that it is a good idea to learn how to use one brush well, and this one will be my workhorse.

As promised, here is what I ordered and just recieved with my birthday cash.
I've been wanting this kit ever since it came out. I've always thought the Viggen was just wicked looking. I also have a mask set for the splinter camo scheme on the way. Appears to be a beauty of a kit upon opening. I'll be picking up a couple more AM parts prior to building this up.
Picked this up on a FB auction for a rather reasonable price. Although I'm not much of an armor builder, the Dragon Firefly fills a void in desired tanks.
Then there is this potential source of masochistic pain. I've had this on my ebay watch list for quite some time and it was high time to pull the trigger on it. It is quite the extensive PE set. I've had the 1/700 Hasegawa IJN Kinugasa kit for years and now I have the enhancements to dress it up right nice.
Still have some cash left and I'm considering picking up some Mission Models acrylic paints and give them a try on my unfinished Tamiya Tiger tank.

Yes, but I'd prefer a newly tooled kit. I probably built this back in the 80's. I had the Italeri Mk II Crusader and stupidly sold it. I'm not sure this has enough new bling to justify the price.
Joe, that ship PE set, i have not heard of Rainbow models, are they new. The label reminds me of Lion Roar or great wall.

I added a few items to the stash lately. I picked up this conversion set on a consignment sale. I can some of it for one project. But now I suppose I could pick up a couple more kits to use up the rest...
and I've been in the mood for Korean War and 50's Cold War builds lately, so I grabbed this...
I saw this on Revell's web site and had to special order it from my LHS. I know it's a re-pop of the ICM kit but the revell one ia about $14 cheaper! plus it has a splinter camo paint job for the night fighter instead of all black. Couldn't wait to get it!

That's the same style as they're using for their 1/1200 ship kits, too. I figured it's just "this year's style".

After buying all those tanks I started rooting though my figures and found I really didn't have any crews for them so it's back off to spend more money on the internet
And with Velinden going out of business I picked up these. I really hope someone picks up their molds and reissues this stuff, it's too good to let the molds sit in some warehouse somewhere unused.

Those Verlinden figures sould be great.
Gamera, those Miniart figure sets are great. I'm a big fan of their sets.
Yeah I love the Verlinden stuff, they're not quite on the same level as say Alpine but still they're really nice figures.
And I love Miniart too, I've got most of their tanker sets. Funny, they're designed for a Sherman but with only small modifications they fit my Meng T30/30 perfectly.
I bet those Miniart figures will work in most if not nearly all WWII US tanks. Perhaps even most of types of turreted Army AFVs such as Tank Destoyers and guns like the M8 HMC.

Well, I went to the Pelicon yesterday! It was a great show! More vendors then the Venice show, but not sure if they had as many as Modelpalooza. The models in the show were outstanding!!! Really awesome work! Didn't pick up my usual 20+ kits...but did increase the stash by 8. Spent a lot more money on tools and stuff. Bought more glue, lots of tools from Janes, and found a guy out of Ft. Myers that had a bunch of the new Tamiya weathering stuff. I picked up some Tamiya black Panel Line Accent and Diorama Texture paint (Soil Effect dark Earth). BUT!!!! The best find I got....WAS....MY 1/72 B-52!!!!! Finally got this kit that has been eluding me for so long due to ridiculous prices on them. It's not the original boxing I got back in the day, but I have one now!
[BACK STORY]: Back in 197? (I'll let you figure it out). I received my Christmas money from my grandparents and headed out to buy myself more models..of course. Went to the hobby shop and there at an end cap was a 1/72 B-52. WOAH! Had to have it. Back then I paid a whooping $25!!!! I got this one at the show yesterday for......$20!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, I did the happy dance on this one! Just about ripped the pocket off my shorts getting the $20 out! LOL! It was the first table as I walked in! It was like it was meant to be! Sorry for ranting on. But this is a happy thing for me. 20 bucks people!!! Can I get a WOOT WOOT!? LOL!

Nice to see you got a couple of 251's there. Especially the Stummel. Will be interested to see that SD, makes a change from the Imperial ones.
My son was looking for a 1:1 version of this but they are few and far between here in the UK, so he bought a BMW 3 Series estate in the same colour instead to carry his mountain bike around..........
