Here are my latest:

I've always wanted a Stuart

Plus, I've always wanted an X-15

And the Super Etendard I found cheap on eBay.

Then I  got the itch to build some RAF jets. A Tornado looks like a good place to start!

These will be my last purchases until I get some kits finished. Just a promise to myself before the better half starts making these promises for me!

Joe: Lol! You can never have too much. Well until now where I look for a particular kit in the stash and can't find it due it's size!

Bruce: Nice haul! The Staurt is a really nice kit though quite complex. Amazing to me they could put so many parts in such a tiny tank at this scale.

I've already shown this 1/48 F-104 that my wife won at the last show along with a few others. I've already built a F-104 for the 1/48 museum but I thought I might build one of the NASA versions. I opened the box for the first time today and realized that someone had thrown a Black Box cockpit set! Wow, what a deal!

Now to find some NASA decals and I'm not having any luck. Victory Productions has the decals but the wrong scale. Also I think some F-104 1/48 kit had optional NASA decals. Does anyone have that sheet in your decal box that you didn't use? Any ideas or help would be appreciated!

I don't do 1/72, but almost pulled the trigger on Airfix's Wildcat/Kate (Midway) combo kit.  If it was either 1/48 or 1/32, would have broke my hand getting the plastic out.  Even had paint with it.

I'm really turning on to 1/72. I look and see that a kit is 1/48 and I am begining to turn my nose up at it. Not that I don't like 1/48 of 1/32, I just don't have the room anymore. That includes armor, but I still want a 1/35 Panther and Tiger....Pz IV, Pz III, Elefant, Merkava Mk 4......But 1/72 will do in a pinch.

GH I think you have to be a bit carewful with those combo and starter sets as  some are older kits. There is a couple with  harriers, and they both use the older kits rather than the new tool ones. This is an all new one and it shows it.

Testors released one of their boxing of the old Hawk F-104 with NASA markings. Also the ESCI kit had a NASA release.   And there was an old Microscale/ Superscale decal set for those markings. If you go to Evilbay, I'm sure you can turn up something from one of those options.

I don't know the contents, but from the description, sounded like a new one.  Markings for Thatch and Tomanaga, "in stock soon" from Squadron for $26 US.  #AX50169.  Ran the number on Airfix site and nothing came up

Hodakamax, always nice to find a surprise in the kit! I just took a quick look on eBay, the only VP set I found in 1/48 was priced at $200. I wasn't prepared to see that price!

I could not find it on scale mates eitehr, so it may well be a new one. I know Airfix have done both previously, so could be either. But i do like how they make good use of these older kits in ways which wil hopefully attract younger potential modelers to the hobby.

I was really impressed when i looked at it. Some very nice surface detail. I know some people still don't like the panel lines as they are rather deep, but i don't mind the look of them. I think oince its painted they will look much better and will hopefuly hold washes. And the decal sheet looks very nice as well with options for 3 aircraft, but for 2 of them you have 2 options each.

The new ones are certainly a step up from what i and i think most British modelers cut our teeth on back in the 70/80's. For quite some time i avoided Airfix at all costs, but now they are up there with the best of them.

Makes me proud to be British Big Smile

I really liked the look of that GR.1 which in part pushed me to get this. Both the 1 and 3 are on e-bay at decent prices, so i may have all 3 before long.

I'm with you guys,  I really like 1/72.   I've also bought some of the new released Airfix that I knew were new tooling.

Does anyone have a list of what is new tool?   So when we are in the LHS we can snap them up!

Thanks
