Dirk Eichhorst

It took Dirk thirty hours to build AMT/Ertl's 1/32 scale "Star Wars" Rebel T-47 airspeeder as seen in "The Empire Strikes Back." He worked from photos of the original Industrial Light & Magic models, painted with custom-mixed Testors flats, and did a lot of weathering. After airbrushing a white base coat, he dry-brushed and washed with thinned-out dirty colors. Film-accurate decals are from JBOT Decals.
