In 1992, John’s 1/35 scale Tamiya M48A3 was a winner in the master’s category in a local IPMS contest. He covered the mantlet with Kleenex tissue watered down with white glue, and airbrushed Tamiya, Polly Scale, and Humbrol colors. Applying red brown pastels gave it a coating of Vietnam dust, he says.
