Jerry Frenza
Markham, Ontario, Canada

Jerry placed a British light tank, the Vickers-Armstrongs Mk.VIB, with 3 Royal Tank Regiment in Calais in late May 1940. He built Vulcan Scale Models’ 1/35 scale kit and painted it with Tamiya acrylics, using: a 2:3 mix of desert yellow (XF-59) and olive drab (XF-62), and another 2:3 mix of olive green (XF-58) and dark green (XF-61) on the hull; flat aluminum (XF-16) and flat black (XF-1) for other details; and a final overcoat of Testors Model Master flat clear. “It was a good challenge,” Jerry says, “a lot of small parts. The suspension is daunting.” Vince Pugliese photo. [See the January 2012 FineScale Modeler for a review of Vulcan's kit.]
