Steven Hughes, Boulder, Colorado

AMT/Ertl’s 1/72 scale “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” runabout Rio Grande was “reconfigured/bashed to be a swivel-nacelle dropship,” says Steven. He airbrushed it with Vallejo Model Air and Createx paints. “I chose this model because the hull had a configuration I thought was believable as a V-22-style advanced dropship,” he says. “I wanted to make an X-com dropship that was believable as a hybrid of modern technology with some alien technology as an intermediate troop transport/assault craft.”
