That looks like a real neat model kit, in a way it reminds me of the Airfix Stuka kit. Also the way your adding aftermarket stuff, plus the fine copper. That model is going to look fantastic when it's finished. I on the other hand am in a slump, haven't dun a thing with the kits I was building. To tell the truth I have become addicted to my new computer, its the first thing I turn on when I get up for the day. Then when I am finely over come by sleep, and "I am literally nodding-off with my fingers on the keys". I had always shunned computers in the past,"I'll not have one of those things in my house I would say". Then one day I was righting a letter to my older brother, and needed to know something or another. One of my computer literate friends started clicking away, stopped, and started telling me about what I was racking my brains out trying to remember. I knew that she had no knowledge of such things, then she showed me how to search for things on the internet. I purchased a third hand computer, Then less than a year ago I bought this one. It has taken over my life, I think I need help ! As if I needed new problem in my life, you would think with the recurrent depression, panic disorder, dyslexia, and what mite be the early stages of alzheimer's disease,  would be enough.

I am a creature of mind, soul, and heart. My body is just something I have to drag along with me

Hi Rick...

Thought you should know how much I appreciate your WIP posts. I've bookmarked this for reference 'cause I've got the kit in my stash, waiting for me to screw up the commitment to get started Seems like every time I look at it, it laughs at me. Meantime I'll enjoy your build - your detail is fantastic!

This is looking so good.  I have always loved a " busy " cockpit on models.  It will be fun to see the completed pictures before you have to enclose it.  Thanks for posting.                           knox

thank you

I had the weekend off from work . I got all caught with house and yard work

I started the outside body rivet process . This model has no rivets . This bird has a lot rivets . Only issue I see with this model . No problem

I'm not sure if my rivet tool is right size , but its for 1/48 scale . I was not going to order a new rivet tool .

I had to use chalk to high light the rivets , so excuse me for the miss . I have washed off the chalk

Enjoy

This looks really awesome.  I've bookmarked it so that when I finally get around to mine I can reference it.  How long did it take you to rivet the exterior?

All of the extra touches you are adding will surely make this one heck of a build once all is said and done - really like the rivets because they lend a great deal of life to things!

Absolutely stunning work. Cant wait to see the finished pics.

Please dont pull out the pics youve posted.  I will be using these as reference to a 1/72 Italeri CH-53 thats been sitting in my "be right back" shelf for the last, oh, decade or so.  Done the rivetting thing as well.  Yes, even before I discovered there was a rivetting tool. LOL.
