Thanks for your support, friends!   I will finish the model today- and the update will certainly include Fritzi and Hannah. Thanks for fixing that link, Moon- people, please check it out.   It's for a good cause- see my Me509 build thread in this very forum!

Wouldn't that be sanctioning that which you deplore?  Seems to be the height of hypocrisy to me.  A simple "I'm sorry chukw I was stupid yesterday" would be better.

Dedicated to veterans everywhere- salute!

I had hope Hannah could make an appearance, but she will preside over photos to be taken later and in better light.  Thanks for all your support in this long- and fun- build!

Everybody would agree that this is just another amazing model that you've just deployed!
I really loved every minute to watch this build and I'm really gonna take all the hints you've mentioned with me.
I'm already full of anticipation to follow your Me 509!

With regards, Ninetalis.

This is some top-shelf stuff Chuk, beautiful. Makes me wish I could scale MYSELF down to 1/48 scale sometimes.

Chuck

Adding my applause and admiration for your model.

Truly an education for me to follow along  as you create another masterful job.

Many thanks too for your artistic creations that help show, explain and in some cases prod your efforts.

The adults and I, of this forum appreciate and enjoy your talents.

Happy Veterans Day

Just amazing work, Chuk.....as usual.  It's great to see the build - warts and all when things go wrong, and how you made them right.

Mate - thank you for putting so much effort into your models, capturing all your steps, and thank you for putting so much effort into the presentation, with Pfennig, Fritzi and Hannah.  It's a great way to spend some time - wandering through your brilliant thread.

P.S.  Emma STILL talks about her amazing Iron Man picture....she keeps it safe - only "special" friends get to hold it!  Thanks, mate.

Cheers, LeeTree

Enjoyed every minute of this, Chuk.  Wonderful modelling and thanks for Fritzi and Hannah.  I hope they will be back with the next Luftwaffe plane (even old nasty-tempered Pfenning).  Thanks for your efforts, which can't help but inspire modellers everywhere!

JohnWebb

Wow, although I appreciate the artistic work in this thread, along with the model building, I must say that many of your drawings are very provocative and border on being misogynistic and sexist...I have a young daughter and really want her to be able to enjoy our hobby w/o being exposed to this kind of sexual innuendo...I am not offended by it....but since we are dumbing down the Forum to the sensibilities of middle school kids this kind of thing must go, in my opinion...

Gee, you go away for a couple a' days, an' you miss a lot!

John, you are entitled to your opinion, of course, and I can sympathize with you wanting to protect your daughter and control what she's exposed to.  That's every parent's right and duty.  But I disagree with your opinion that Chuck's caricatures border on misogynistic and sexist.  They are modern representations that give a big tip of the hat to classic WWII nose art.  In the end, we each can choose to look or not look, but I think Chuck's artwork is harmless.

Best regards,

Brad

PS to the gang--I don't see John's post in the thread--has it been deleted?  Actually, the whole last page of this thread doesn't load correctly for me.  The thread title prints, and the New Post button is enabled on the page.  But the page numbers and forward/back navigation links are gone.  Makes me think something happened to the page that contained John's original post.

"Last Pages" not loading correctly -  I suspect it does have something to do with the stray bits of code in the background after a thread has been deleted. I've seen it a lot in the past few weeks.

Thanks, guys!  The admins also responded to a post I put in the forum errors thread.  I can get to the pages now, though I have to get it via the earlier pages.  I sure did miss some excitement the past few days!

Chuck, beautiful work, and as with your other build blogs, you have shown a lot of tips, I hope I remember them all and that I've learned something from you, too.

Many thanks, guys!   I deeply appreciate your kind words- This has been a long and ultimately highly-satisfying process!  I also appreciate those would stood up against that troubled soul who felt the need to troll this thread in the eleventh hour- you rock! When I get a chance I'll post some beauty pics on a clean bkg. In the meantime there will more builds- the 509 is just the next.  Agin- thanks!

I finally brought the problem child to the attention of those in charge.  Chucks thread(s) here have always been of the highest caliber and all of us didn't need a sour apple putting a blemish on the enjoyment we have had from all of Chuk's work.   My guess is that they did a remove and we can now go back to the friendly atmosphere that was already here.

Hey Chuk

What happened to the top hatch for the canopy?  Did Hannah make off with it so you wouldn't finish without her?

Thanks, Chuck, I just popped in to ask what your next project might be.  I'm heading over to see your thread on that one now, too.
