I don't have any more RAF kits. I do have a couple of Thunderbolts and an Italian Tornado.

I'll might check for T-Bolt RAF decals and I don’t know if the Italian Tornado is different from the RAF Tornado but I can check.

The British Phantoms were differant to the American ones. I would not mind an RAF Phantom myself, but from what i can figure, there has only been one kit. A lot of US aircraft in WW2 were used by us, but some, like the Wildcats and corsairs were only used by the Navy. But your right about the P-51 and P-40.

Appreciate the clarification.  I know we sent a lot of alum. to help, both before and after the US got involved actively, but not all that up on which service used what.  Poked around on your link a little, surprised at how many seaplanes/anfibs were in RAF service/test.

It was the was the British who taught us Yanks how to fly the Corsair property, as well as how to wake the Mustang to make it worth while.

They also tought us Radar, Sonar, centrifugal flow jet engines etc etc etc.

I must admit, i often have to check. Not all RN aircraft wear schemes that distinguish then clearly from the RAF, the Martlet (F4F) for example.

I had never realised just how many types the RAF had operated. Its a big list.

I am not 100% certain, but i thnik it was suggestions from the RAF that lead to the B-17 being armed with all those .50 cal's after the Brits said it needed more firepower. Which seems a bit odd when you think about what British bombers were armed with.

You are correct sir. Also the suggestion of how to run our convoys and darkning our costal cities against the U-boats. Of course we didn't listen and lost many many ships due to our arrogance.

Well, i think its the same with every nation in every war. They all have to re learn the lessons the hard way.

I also think it was us who started naming your tanks, i think it started with the Stuart.

Yeah, the UK Phantoms were re-engined with Rolls Royce Speys which were more powerful but a bit more bulky so the F-4s had to be slightly modified.

Sorry, haven't gotten anything done with the Tempest so far. I'm going to try to finish up my halftrack and hopefully get back to the A-Wing before I start in earnest on this GB Bish.

I'm also looking at the Lockheed Ventura. Xtradecal makes a set for the no 454 squadron. They were used for bombing runs where they were terrible. But whatever I come up with I'll need to order decals for it. 

I need to get some paint for the Spit first.

Thats it, the engines. I was only looking a couple of weeks back but could not remeber last week. I think Fujimi made a kit at one point, not sure about larger scales.

That 454 aircraft would be nice. I have the Minicraft 72nd PV-1 but unfortunatly they don't do those decals in that scale.

Regardless, I'll find something else. But have narrowed it to the Tornado, P-40 or Ventura.

Yep, deffo, that counts under the rules. I was hoping we would get some, but expected they would be German. I have never seen captured Japanese aircraft before. The tail numbers are the original i guess, so its just the roundel and that writing. Any idea what that means.

Well found. I had guessed the SEA bit, but not a clue about the first part. You would have thoguht those pilots would already know. To the best of my knowledge, we didn't use German pilots to test their captured aircraft. I seem to recall Erich Brown saying he just had to get in a figure it out.

Looks like both birds have a second seat added and two people in each pit.  I would suspect that the Japanese were flying since they would know the limitations and how far in the envelope they could go without structural failure, and the Allied guy in back was evaluating, not only the one he is in but the other as well.
