Floats and Boats for 2022 ??? Any interest ?
Posted by BrandonK on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 7:21 PM

I am finally up and running again with the new home and full sprue workshop. I will be hosting the SSGB again, but I am curious if anyone has any interest in participating an another Floats and Boats GB for 2022. Same rules as before. Any aircraft that can land and/or take off from water. Float planes and flying boats, even pontooned heli's. Run January thru December.

Just wanted to check. I am doing one for the falklands GB, but as i will have built several for that one by then, i can allow myself a cross over, so count me in.

Put me down as as a probable Brandon. I have a couple of other projects to finish first and I will have to check the stash for a suitable subject. I have 3 to choose from: Airfix Sunderland; Eduard Sopwith Baby and the new Airfix Walrus.

I long to live in a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned

Pbobably. I have couple of floating planes on my wishlist with some of the online sellers. If they drop the shipping price or offer some discount later in the year (black Friday, Christmas) I'll be in.

Yes, I have a few that would work well. If it goes, I'll jump in later. I just have overwhelmed my self this year.

Plus I have at least one that I'd like to run next year. No worries, no ships.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Would you allow crossovers in this build?

I'll be in with a Modelcraft 1/48 Cessna 172 on floats.  Looks like a very basic kit, so I might actually be able to get it done.Embarrassed
