Halftrack/s looking good there. Nice to see your face here again. We are all looking forward to your progess. And remember, your mother told you "don't touch it, you'll break it!" Now you see why. Looks like it will work you in your favor though. Keep up the great work.

Hi, all! I understand I've been a kinda delinquent in photo-posting, but I have not quit!

My half track is coming along rather well....we'll, as long as you discount the one antenna that I broke and re-glued and broke and broke and re-glued and etc. (Yeah, that was tough lol) Either wat, here she is:

I also happened to have another of this same kit that I had started some time back but that I had neglected. So, I thought why not finish that one, too, and put the two half tracks together in a Stalingrad diorama?

So, here's my halftrack's twin:

Then, here's the result of a bit of diorama preparatory work:

I also was in Walmart looking for a hot wire foam cutter and as I reached to get something, a product fell and resulted in the breaking of two clay pots. So, I got those knowing they might make some good Stalingrad rubble once I crushed them up even more....(leave it to a modeler to break clay pots and be like, "Hey, I needed these anyway; and besides, I wouldn't have wanted to buy a perfectly good pot just to destroy it...." Lol Wink)

BK pick #5 top to bottom. Shows the eyes plus some cockpit (kinda like 'shows a liitle leg' you know what i mean lol)!

castelnuovo big thanks, means a ton after seeing your camo!

In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list, we're down to a Monogram 1/72 SR-71 and that Tamiya P-38F/G to use the other nose art Exito Decal (in-flight for this one), & in keeping with MC's hydra theory I bought another F-5E to do in FROG camo! And I just got a Trumpeter 1/32 F/A-18F!

Hey hey secret santa! This BF109 is all done! Today i made a base for her and installed the radio wire. The Tamiya kit itself is superb. Nice decal selection, the latest round of decals are still a bit heavy but nothing like the cloth i feel they used to supply. The resin add ons stand apart from the kit parts ina ll but one area, the exhausts. Not because they don't look better but because they are so hidden you practically can't tell they're resin pieces. All vellejo paints with MCW lacquer clear over them.

One thing i think i need to do is add more chipping on the wing. Looking at the verhead shot you can't see anything. Overall a valiant effort and a good looking aircraft for the display case.

Wow! That is a simply amazing little build. I am totally blown away with your skill on this one. Which pic for the front page?

this is insane. I have been dreading these since I saw them and it's a good thing they give you four. It took all four to get two position lights on the wings. Not surprising, look at how tiny these babies are but they sure do look great

YIKES !!! That is small. That's what she said. LOL

Anyway, those look the part, but I'm not sure I could work that tiny. Well done.

Working towards the finish line today. May be able to get back to it after dinner and glue on all the little assemblies and pieces.

Need a little more German camo practice. Not bad for my 1st try tho. Nce this all dries will go back and do some fine touchup. A little weathering should help it all blend together as well. Wish me luck Blind Fold

Amazing detail and paint there. The first pic had me thinking it was a 1/48. Then I scrolled down and was shocked to see it was a 72nd. Amazing how well you guys make these little ones look.

I find when I rush to get something done for whatever reason I start dropping things and breaking things off I've so carefully tried not to break. This is when I just put it down and come back in a few days and move slower and it all works out.

Keep going.

Very nice Mongoose!  It's funny that you mention needing something to help steady the hand, I use the same tool from time to time.  Big Smile

ahhh kindred spirits! Haha get it

slowed down a little tonight. My 5 minute primer job turned into 20. must have been lack of spirits to relax. 1st i dropped it in the paint booth and the wing tip broke off. Ok, fixed that. THEN when i hit the tail with some primer the resin stab blew off! had to laugh at this point! Geez. Must have cracked when i dropped it as it looked like a kite in the wind when the paint hit it Crying

time to quit for the night Surprise

glamdring that paint must be smooth as plastic! Looking good. Your tanker camo and skin tone looks pretty impressive as well.

Thanks!  I live and die by Tamiya rattle cans.  Big Smile
