Not to turn the heat up on anyone, but it is hard to believe this year is nearly over.  Are there plans for a 22/23 Secret Santa?

Well guys, I started on my hobby room. Not been around much but I do look in on occasion. Now that I'm pretty much done with replacing damaged wood, it's just upgrading the electrical and replacing the wallboard for the most part. Builds are looking good.

Sorry guys, I haven't been building lately. I am in a bit of a slump with building right now so I've stepped away for the bench for a bit. I will get back on it soon. I am still checking the forums daily so keep going.

Well done, Dodgy.  I will join the consensus so far, I prefer the King Tiger over the Tiger I.

Some Dunkelgelb. Now starting to draw to the camo lines for the dark green in pencil. Will send the next photos from the padded cell!

Seems like most folks give the Tiger I a lot of praise and this guy gets ignored.  I really like this version of the Tiger family.  Looks great so far.

I agree. I have been trying to locate a decent prices version for the stash. The hunt  continues.

I hope to get going on my Panther soon. We are quickly running out of time and many of us are way behind schedule. Crazy times anymore.

So this is where I'm at now. I had a few small issues with mating the two parts of the hull, but pretty minor really. Iv'e also placed some backing on the two vision ports for the driver and machine gunner, as these were just molded open back and front. Will do more work on these once I've got the cammo on. The only other little job was to add the cable for the hull light.

Awesome job Dodgy.

I'll get back on the MRAP as soon as I can get a room set up guys, which may still be quite a while. It made it through the move relatively unscathed, nothing that a drop of glue here and there won't fix. I do more damage building it than what happend during the move. I still need to find all the associated items I bought for it as well.

Sorry I missed your post Dodgy. She looks real sharp. It sure feels good to get to the paint stage with a kit. Looking forward to seeing some color here.

Lots of great work there Mach1. It's a bugger about the decals though.

The Nado looks very nice. That scheme looks crazy to paint. Hopefully you can pull off the art on the tail.

Really an epic year guys!

Agreed! Especially after seeing Dodgy's update and getting caught up with the thread.

I pulled the Tornado off the shelf and finished up most of the decal work. All I have left are the clear parts, and the two big cat decals for the fin.

... about the cats on the fin, just to forewarn others that might want to build the kit - I discovered that the decals provided by HobbyBoss completely dissappeared when applied to the black background of the fin. I'll be doing some experiments with decal paper to see if my printer is capable of making new ones that will work, otherwise I'll stop by a local print shop. It ought to be an easy challenge to overcome. I also picked up a second kit in the name of science to test the other marking option.

Anywho, here's where the bird is at.

Sorry Mopar, I have an enormous collection of spare model parts and had a good look through, but sadly none for a 410. The pit is looking fantastic.

Thanks buddy I appreciate it. The clear parts bag was sealed so I guess it was just a mistake made at the factory. No worries, I'll get it all figured out! Beer

Interior bits complete. Im missing a sprune of clear parts, so some of the windows in the fuselage will have to be made with PVA glue.

Wow, the pit looks fantastic. Can't wait to see the rest. I dug through my spares since I've built this kit, I don't have any canopy or glass bits, sorry.

Hi folks, I'm starting late with this, but better late than never. This is one sweet kit and I'm really looking forward to the build. Interestingly, the lower hull is diecast. But before I start on my build, I've read through the whole thread and there is a lot of fantastic modeling been going on here.

Steve: That MAT V is unbelievable. So realistic.

Mach1: Your Tornado is looking great, really comming together nicely.

John: I love the Hanomag.

Glamdring: The M1A1 looks awesome. Great finish.

DiscoStu: Your Mig21 pit is looking good.

Castelnuovo: Your 109 is fantastic, love the camo.

Mongoose: Your 109 is fantastic as well. It looks great on the base and I love the 'eyes'.

Mopar: I am so looking forward to seeing your Me410. I've always had an interest in that bird.

Great work all.

Cheers

Glamdring

Looks good John!  What was your brand/shade/recipe for the Panzer gray?  I frequently struggle with finding a "right" one  to my eyes for early war German armor, but that looks mighty good to me.

Pretty sweet M1 there, Glamdring!

In response to your question, I used Model Master's Panzer Schwarzgrau '39-'43 enamel paint on the halftracks. You might be able to find it online (big if, unfortunatel). That's where I got it from myself a while back, I believe.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”  - John 3:16-17
