Despite the few items you still need to finish, it an outstanding job on a rare animal. It looks fantastic and you've really gone the extra mile to add wonderful extras. My next Boddington's is dedicated to your build. Cheers!
almost finished, need windscreen, mirrors and doors (if I can the edges stuck down again)
thank you all for your kind comments... keeps me plodding on...
and now with a touch of oil dot rendering and (according to "Uncle Nightshift") "Optical Occlusion"....
Coming along very nicely.
looking great. I built on of these in 1/72? scale many years ago. I reckon they are a really interesting vehicle. Might have to have a crack at one in 35th one day. sadly I don't have one in the stash. Oh my! Does that mean I'm going to have to buy another kit? how upsetting.....

Very impressive! The detailing is outstanding. There have been a couple other nice builds of the kit posted here, but yours is in a class of its own.
Very interesting build Rob. Your tractor has come along nicely, it is definitely an unusual subject, I don't think I have ever seen one of these vehicles modeled before.

Looking good.
Very sweet Rob
Very nice work.
Good work! I like the direction it's going to. Re the tracks: if you can find them, AFV Club packages their one piece 3-bar cleat T-49 tracks separately, if that's what you need, and they're responsive to cryo glue. There's also a bunch of plastic indie link sets by AFV Club, all inexpensive and not terribly fiddly.
Apprentice rivet counter.
Very cool, the seat cushions came out really well!

Oh cool! I love the wood grain look you're got going on there.
more progress on wood/stowage and cushoins/interior
I'm watching this one with increased attention. You got me hooked.

Coming together nicely mate.
Okay, anyway you decide to do it the results look good!
Gamera Looks good, nice to see her all primed and ready for the first coat.

thanks... green on - not 100% happy with the very dark on the bottom so may give it a quick blast of the olive drab base (pain is AK Interactive modulation set)... will be doing internal detailing next then it can be buttoned up... Wood is painted MiG old wood as a pale base to allow darker staining on top...
it has gone grey - seem to have lost a "cushion" which I will either find or make a new one later
I also remember the Revell Long Tom with the high speed tractor, and very fondly. The long tom went away quite awhile before the tractor, but it sure seemed cool in its day.
Very cool, love all the added details for that 'lived-in look'.
Hmmm;
I remember when I first met this neat machine. I bought the REVELL " Long Tom" and the High Speed Tractor kit. That one couldn't hold a candle to this one for detail!
I have built probably dozens for all kinds of stuff. Even converted one to Eight Wheel drive instead of treads.
I am definitely going to follow this build!
thanks all.. .NOW the build is complete (well apart from probably having to source replacement tracks - HobbyBoss ones just woot stick with anything (even heat!) - may have to resort to a staple!!!!
anyway, done some titivation this afternoon (better securing of the spare wheel, external support for the additional height at the rear and stowage (combination of Value Gear, Redog and AFV fuel cans). it does come out and is in 2 halves to allow for easier painting.
Love how she looks Rob, looking forward to the finished photos!
