Another update with the anchors. In the first photo you’ll u can see how I secured the anchor at he gunwale. I added the post and aligned it with the ribing on the interior. I then secured it by seizing it to the post.

The next picture shows the cable and the seizing. I drilled out the holes for the cathead and secured it in the interior bulwark with one of the cleats.

And another view of the same thing.

And since we’re at the bow, here is a shot of the culverens from Model Shipways that I added at the bow and the stern to ward off pirates and such.

So that’s about all I have pictures of so if I can get my lazy tush in gear then I’ll take some finished pictures and post those.

Steve

It's such a pleasure watching this WIP .... I stepped on a few crickets on the way to posting this so I hope the cricket sounds are diminished Big Smile. (Actually I like the sound of crickets but, like many with works in progress, would hope for more than their sounds after laboring on a project one feels good about)

You, Bakster, the other Steve, Kirill4 and and so many others on this forum have given inspiration to many including myself regarding painting, using oils for the look of wood, etc. Thank you!

Anxiously awaiting the final images of your finished model.

Mike

Hey Steve--I love how you weathered those anchors! Those look like they were soaked in seawater for years. Lol...  You have a true gift, sir.

Just a bump , so I can view your build from the same page as my "in-progress" mess.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
