Does anyone have the new Trumpeter Hornet? was just wondering how it is?

I have the kit...and she's and finish is better than Tamiya in my opinion. There's been some controversy over the shape of the bow...when you look at the ship head-on, the bow is too thick, it should have a teardrop shape...of course, if you build the model waterline, it's a moot point.

For the price, the size, and the ease of assembly, it's a great kit.

Here's another review. The red bottom is interesting. Not sure why they do such things.

Oh yes, one other thing. I saw that White Ensign Models has photo etch for this already. Should be pretty good stuff.
