A new tool for me - but not what you'd think it's been designed for - Frogtape

I've been repainting various rooms in the house and had a couple of rolls left over. I was getting ready to cut some *really tiny* parts off a sprue (those rediculously small 1/35 tank parts) and had one pop off and burrow into the carpet...cr@p. I thought "I need a small gravity field to suck these things down - dammit". So I cut off a piece of the tape roll, folded both ends to stick on the bench with the sticky side up and then pressed down on the sprue while covering it with clear plastic while cutting with an Xacto blade (so even if it did "pop" it would be trapped) and made sure it stuck down on the tape.

Bonus - it works great for holding a lot of parts for multi-part spray painting too - I use the green tape - the yellow tape adhesive sometimes weakens with some of the Tamiya sprays and other brand enamels (the green will too if you get over-zealous)

I don't know if it works with airbrushing techniques as I don't have a booth set up yet (nor the skills aquired)

Thx - hope it helps someone (if this has already been posted - my apologies - all I could find were questions about using it for masking).

Builds in progress:
1/35 Dragon Zimmerit Elefant Sd. Kfz.184 (winter - s.Pz.Jg.Abt.614, Poland, 1944)
1/35 Trumpeter KV-1S
1/48 Bandai Pin Point Series: Kübelwagen Type 82 (Guderian markings '43)
1/48 Minicraft Piper Super Cub (US registry)

Yeah, I do this, too.
