Are there guidelines for photographing models for submission to the Readers Gallery of the magazine. In particular, I'm curious about the background as it appears most are photographed against a white or light "hidden horizon" type backdrop. Is this set up expected from the raw photos or is it done by magazine editors?

Here are a couple of our guidelines for photography. Backgrounds are done by the modelers. It doesn't need to be anything more fancy than a piece of thin poster board that can be curved up behind the model to for a seamless backdrop.
