In this 1/35 scale scene, Michael modeled Zimmerit on Tamiya’s Tiger using Milliput he scored with a butter knife before attaching to the hull sides. The tank’s crew comes from Dragon. Also in the scene is a Tamiya Opel Blitz with a kitbashed suspension and canopy. Michael made bedrolls and rolled tarps for the truck and tank using wet paper towel, formed, dried, then painted with Tamiya colors. The infantry soldiers are from a Tamiya set in winter gear he modified with Milliput. The staff car is from Master Box, as are the officers standing by it. “The only purchases I made for this diorama were the Tiger and the staff car. The remaining components were all left from past builds,” he says. His wife took the picture, converted to black-and-white for a wartime look.
